Justin Timberlake's 'Take Back The Night' Debut: Singer Unveils First Single From Part 2 Of 'The 20/20 Experience'

New Justin Timberlake Song Takes MJ Worship To New Level

Just two days after teasing it in a short promo, Justin Timberlake has unveiled his new single "Take Back the Night."

Using the same intro as the teaser, Timberlake uncovers a series of poster boards that each contain one of the many release dates his work has seen this year. Following "Suit & Tie," "Mirrors" and "The 20/20 Experience," JT finally shows us what was on that blurred-out card behind "Take Back the Night": "Today."

What follows is the full track of the aforementioned single, a stylish dance groove that reflects the same soulful R&B that populated the first part of "The 20/20 Experience." (And also sounds very much like a song Michael Jackson would have produced in 1984.) On the new song, Timberlake declares that no one will stop him from capitalizing on the evening, crooning, "We wanna do something right / When we can do something better / Ain't no time like tonight / And we ain't tryin' to save it for later."

Timberlake co-wrote and produced "Take Back the Night" with Timbaland, J-Roc (who recently contributed to Jay-Z's "Magna Carta Holy Grail") and frequent collaborator James Fauntleroy.

The dance-all-night anthem will serve as the lead single off "The 20/20 Experience — 2 of 2," Timberlake's follow-up to "The 20/20 Experience." That album will be released on Sept. 30.

The singer teased "2 of 2" on Twitter in the same breath with which he premiered the track:

Tune in above and get ready for yet another welcome JT comeback.
