Kaley Cuoco hasn't had the best year.
After less than two years of marriage, the actress and her then husband, tennis player Ryan Sweeting, announced in September that the two "mutually decided to end their marriage." A month later, Sweeting filed for spousal support and reportedly asked the actress to cover his legal fees. Rumors also swirled that the divorce was fueled by Sweeting's alleged pill addiction.
In one of her few red carpet appearances since the split, the 29-year-old came out on Sunday to support a charity close to her heart -- Stand Up For Pits -- and kicked off the event with a heartfelt speech.
"My two pits have made this last year so much better for me," Cuoco told the audience.
Cuoco is the proud owner of two pit bull pups and often shares photos of the adorable duo on Instagram.
Us Weekly reports that while "tears glistened in her eyes, she quickly pulled it together and moved forward."
After Cuoco's split, many speculated that the she had reunited with co-star and former boyfriend of two years, Johnny Galecki.
Cuoco took to Instagram to put the rumors to rest by uploading a photo of the two of them with the caption, "So sorry to disappoint , but no home wreckers or secret flings going on here. Me and @sanctionedjohnnygalecki are just the best of buds - Leonard and Penny will just have to suffice!!!"
