Cops Hilariously Ask Citizens A Favor During Royals Game

Cops can be fans, too.

While the Kansas City Royals fought for their playoff lives Tuesday night in a 12-inning victory over the Oakland Athletics, Kansas City Police had a teeny request for citizens.

The tweet produced some chuckles among media, including USA Today's For The Win. "Kansas City police beg everyone not to commit crime until after the game is over," read its headline.

After the Royals secured their first postseason game triumph since 1985, the PD later tweeted the following:

One respondent threatened to flash body parts, and then there was this person:

@kcpolice @Royals Can we get like a 3 hour DUI grace period? #askingforafriend

What kind of Pandora's box have you opened, KCPD?
