Kanye West Can't Stop Smiling Through His ‘American Idol’ Audition

“My name is Kanye. I’m from the south side of Chicago.”

We ain't sayin' Kanye's a "Gold Digger," but that's the song he performed.

It seems like we've been waiting for this for 18 years (18 years!), but E! is finally hooking us up with the full video of Kanye West's "American Idol" audition.

“My name is Kanye. I’m from the south side of Chicago,” explains our possible future president. When asked what he does, Ye says, “Originally, a producer, I always wanted to rap but nobody really believed in me.”

"I hope that works out," says Keith Urban.

(Oh, Urban got jokes!)

Kim Kardashian was also on hand to support her husband, telling Ryan Seacrest, "I’m not nervous because I do really believe in him."

Well, that leap of faith in the Grammy-winner paid off. Kanye broke into an a cappella version of an original song, some shiz called "Gold Digger," which wowed the judges and earned him a gold ticket to Hollywood. And, unlike the Mr. West we're normally accustomed to, Kanye couldn't stop smiling the entire time.

Get down, Ye. Go ahead, get down.
