Kanye West has conquered the entertainment and fashion worlds -- and now he may soon have a 19th century railway station named after him.

A petition that calls for Canterbury West in Kent, southeast England, to have its name changed to "Kanye West Station" is gaining ground.

Mark Kilner posted the tongue-in-cheek campaign on Change.org -- and 1,045 people had signed up by 11 a.m. Monday to try and transform it into a tribute to the rap superstar.

Kilner calls for politicians at Canterbury City Council and bosses at the Southeastern train company to come together to honor the rapper he hails as the "greatest human being of our time."

"We cannot undo past wrongs, such as retroactively giving Taylor Swift's Grammy Award to Beyonce, any more than we can save Jesus from crucifixion (although technically God kind of took care of that)," he writes in the petition.

"But we can show our appreciation in other ways, and what better start than renaming Canterbury West Station to Kanye West Station?"

Kilner created the petition in March. It initially attracted only 19 signatures, but it gained hundreds more after the post went viral over the weekend, Kent Online reports.

The municipality, the train company and Kanye himself -- who said at the VMAs in August that he'd run for president in 2020 -- have yet to comment on the demands.

An optimistic Kilner said the petition could be the first step to creating an entire "Kanye West" town, where the cathedral and hospital would also be renamed.
