Karima Keyek, Berlusconi Model, Says 'Sorry'

Karima Keyek, the aspiring Moroccan model who accused Berlusconi of a range of improprieties in contradictory statements reported by the Italian press, has apologized to the prime minister as he faces calls to resign, according to the Telegraph. As she told that paper:

Above all I'm sorry because I've involved people who just wanted to help me and never asked for anything in return.

Berlusconi was accused of misuse of power for allegedly intervening in Keyek's arrest for theft in May, according to Bloomberg. Berlusconi denied that he used his office to secure her release.

Ruby, who is not yet 18, originally reported that she visited multiple parties at Berlusconi's home last year, witnessed lewd acts, and received gifts, according to the Telegraph. The PM has been accused of similar events before, including an alleged affair last year with Noemi Letizia, an aspiring model, after he attended her eighteenth birthday party and gave her an expensive necklace. Berlusconi denied the affair.

The Telegraph reports that the Moroccan is staying in an unidentified women's shelter.
