Tattoo artist and reality TV personality Kat Von D suggested via Twitter on Wednesday that her fiance Deadmua5, aka Joel Zimmerman, cheated on her, and that her relationship with the musician is "indeed over." Only hours before, the "L.A. Ink" star sent out a rather ominous tweet saying only, "I am a fool." That was then followed up hours later with this status update:
The two had gotten engaged over Twitter in December and Von D was in the process of selling her Hollywood mansion for $2.5 million. No word yet though if this latest news changes her housing plans.
UPDATE: DJ and music producer Deadmau5 has taken to his Facebook page to deny allegations by his now former fiance Kat Von D that he cheated on her.
Zimmerman says that while he did "have relations with another woman," he and Von D had already been split up. "Following that," he says, "Kat and I reconciled and I acknowledged being intimate with another person while we were estranged."
The musician insists that he and the reality TV star were able to "move past those issues" before they were engaged in December of 2012. By the end of June, he says, things fizzled and the two decided "mutually" to end the relationship. "I was not, at any point, unfaithful to Kat during our time together."
Seemingly a direct reply to Von D's Twitter announcement, Zimmerman tried to put the kibosh on the issue, stating, "I don't wish to go tit for tat with these kinds of pronouncements and don't expect to comment further."
Will that put it to rest? Time will tell.
