If there's anything a girl loves more than dresses, it's shoes. Despite the fantastically whimsical stilettos sketched by such shoe maestros as Manolo Blahnik and Giuseppe Zanotti for Catherine's big day, the royal bride-to-be will actually wed in flats.

As I revealed on February 19th in a story on Catherine's royal wedding day look, the future royal has commissioned four pairs of shoes for her wedding day -- each with different heel heights. She will wear the lowest-heeled pair to walk down the aisle at Westminster Abbey, and from what royal insiders tell me, the shoes (more like slippers) will be covered with multiple layers of silk, and heavily embroidered.

After the ceremony, there will be a lunch reception at Buckingham Palace, a balcony appearance (hopefully sealed with a kiss), an official wedding photo shoot, and then the evening dinner and dance. So there will be at least one dress (and shoes) change as the day goes on, and plenty of opportunities for the new princess to rock those sky-high stilettos!
