The 23-year-old model revealed she was engaged to Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander at the 2016 Met Gala on Monday. Her gorgeous ring proved the perfect accessory for her shimmery, silver Topshop gown.

Upton told E! News that she was "really excited" about her engagement, adding that her fiancé asked right before baseball season started. Upton and her 33-year-old beau have been dating for over three years.

"We've been keeping it on the down-low for quite a while, so I'm excited to finally be able to share it with the world," Upton said. The 23-year-old model said she and Verlander haven't made wedding plans yet and are simply "enjoying the engagement period."
