Katey Sagal, The Former Peggy Bundy, Roasts Ann Romney As A Do-Nothing Mom (VIDEO)

Actress Slams Ann Romney's Mothering In Joke

Actress Katey Sagal doesn't think Ann Romney should be winning and "Mom of the Year" awards any time soon.

Sagal spit a little fire Romney's way during the Comedy Central "Roast of Roseanne," where comedians gathered to skewer 59-year-old actress Roseanne Barr.

"Roseanne, I feel honored that you and I broke new ground as TV moms who didn’t cook, didn’t clean, and didn’t make any money," Sagal said during the Comedy Central special which aired Sunday night. "In the 90s that made you a bad mom, but today it makes you Mitt Romney’s wife."

Barr apparently loved the jab, clapping and laughing from the side of the stage.

Sagal famously played Peggy Bundy on "Married... with Children." She spent her time snacking on bon-bons and buying new clothes instead of cleaning the house, caring for her kids or even remotely attempting to get a job.

Romney, wife of presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney and mother of five, has come under fire for never having had to work.

Rosen later apologized for her incendiary remarks and Romney defended herself, tweeting, "I made a choice to stay home and raise five boys. Believe me, it was hard work."

Barr, who has vocalized anti-Romney sentiment, is running for president as the nominee for the Peace and Freedom Party, promoting "socialist solutions" for this nation's problems.

"I was asked to carry the water and carry a message during this election and to make socialist solutions part of the narrative, because they're being left out and they work," she told CNN's Piers Morgan on "Piers Morgan Tonight."

Barr believes that the "two-headed beast," otherwise known as the Republican-Democratic juggernaut that is American government, must be slayed.

"Government should not be run as a business," she said. "Government is the thing that protects people from fat cats, monopolists and crazy international bankers that write off human life."
