The rumor mill is at it again, folks, this time pairing Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx together for the mere fact that they are both single and run in the same circles.
InTouch magazine was the first to report yesterday that according to "multiple sources ... Katie Holmes has embarked on a new romance with her ex-husband's close friend, actor Jamie Foxx." The magazine couldn't help but make a punny Tom Cruise reference, adding that both Holmes and Foxx "are very 'Mission: Impossible' about their romance."
Though this isn't the first time the two are romantically linked -- back in August, they danced in close enough proximity to each other to spark romance rumors -- Foxx himself has denied the rumors last night. The Oscar winning actor told "Entertainment Tonight": "[The rumors] are one hundred percent not true. In fact, it's quite hilarious because we simply danced at a charity event along with a lot of other people."
To put things in further perspective, a rival gossip mag, U.K.'s Metro, has paired Holmes up with another Hollywood bachelor: George Clooney. According to that report, Holmes and Clooney have "enjoyed a number of dinner dates and according to insiders, the chemistry between them is 'undeniable.'"
"Katie has had a crush on [George] for ages," a source told Metro."They're both single and have met up a couple of times ... Katie really has her sights set on him. There is a genuine connection."
Cruise, Holmes' ex-husband from whom she split over a year ago, co-starred with Foxx in the 2004 film "Collateral." He and Clooney are said to be friendly, but were never co-stars.
