Katy Perry may have happily moved on with John Mayer since her 2011 split from Russell Brand, but the pop star is still fielding questions about her 14-month marriage to the British comedian.

The 28-year-old recently sat down with W magazine ahead of the release of her new album, "Prism," and was asked point-blank if she liked being married.

"Of course. I really loved it," Perry told the magazine. "It was a new, fun, exciting journey. But I like how I am now, and I think all things happen for a reason."

The "Roar" singer met Brand in 2009 and married him in India in October 2010. Brand, who Perry has said dumped her via text message, filed for divorce in December 2011, citing "irreconcilable differences."

And though the British comedian may have been the one to initiate the divorce process, he's also sung marriage's praises since the split. "I really liked being married," he said on the "Today" show in June. "This just in! Marriage has to be worked at."

As for Perry, she may be inching closer to saying "I do" again in the near future; Mayer is reportedly getting ready to propose. A source told E! News that they are "very serious" and those close to the pair wouldn't be surprised if an engagement were to happen in the "not-so-distant future."
