A video showing a 27-year-old adrenaline junkie kayaking down a terrifyingly steep drainage ditch in Lions Bay, British Columbia, has gone viral on Facebook, where it racked up more than 2,000 shares in just a few days, and with good reason: It's amazing.
At the end of the video, after shooting out of the slide into Howe Sound, kayaker Ben Marr says he reached speeds of 56 km/hour (just under 35 mph).
