Kellar isn't the type of dog to roll over when things get rough.

The 3-year-old English springer spaniel has been blind since birth, but his owners have developed his vocabulary enough to even play fetch through commands.

According to his owner's Youtube channel, Kellar was originally taught with a bell inside the ball, but his owners found that once the ball stopped moving he had a hard time finding it. They started with the commands "hot" and "cold" but eventually added words like "warmer," "colder," "passed it," "left," and "right."

Kellar's owners adopted him when he was three months old, and although they admit that training a blind puppy was difficult, Kellar now has a vocabulary of more than 200 words and phrases.

"Everyone who meets Kellar says he's lucky to have us -- we think it's the other way around," they said.
