Kelly O'Donnell Receives Personal Balloon Drop At RNC (VIDEO)

WATCH: Convention-Goer Balloonbombs MSNBC

NBC News' Kelly O'Donnell received a personal balloon drop on Thursday when a convention-goer decided to chuck a few balloons her way as she reported live from the floor of the RNC.

O'Donnell appeared on MSNBC after Mitt Romney accepted the Republican party's nomination for president of the United States. She appeared on the floor of the convention, amidst attendees, delegates, and a ton of balloons.

A certain convention-goer saw O'Donnell reporting, and decided to chuck a few balloons her way. He successfully hit the camera a few times, and even seemed to react to someone off camera asking him to cease the balloon drop. He looked a bit surprised and decided to throw one last balloon NBC News' way.

When O'Donnell finished her report, seemingly unphased by the distraction, Maddow called out the convention-goer behind her.

"Kelly, I just want to let you know that in case you were worried that another balloon drop had started, it was actually just one guy standing behind you while you were talking right now, giving you your own, personal balloon drop," Maddow said.

O'Donnell laughed and said she was glad to know. "Yeah [he was] helping out," Maddow said mockingly.
