White House counselor Kellyanne Conway once famously stated that the lies propagated by President Donald Trump’s administration were actually “alternative facts.” So on Wednesday, when she tweeted the hashtag #FactsFirst in praise of Fox News topping October’s cable news ratings, she was ridiculed online:

Many speculated as to whether she actually meant “alternative facts first.”
#AlternativeFacts right??!! Cause we know that’s how you roll 😂

Like when @ShepNewsTeam called the caravans like it is... not a danger, not coming into your house.

Popularity does not equal credibility.

Oh, Kellyanne... bless your heart. If high ratings were an indication of quality or truthfulness, then "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" is fucking Shakespeare.

You forgot the “alternate.”

Yep. And that’s the problem. More people watching Fox lies than the actual news. #FactsMatter #NotAlternateFacts

Except when it involves you and the White House, in which case it is #AlternativeFactsFirst

You are a big part of the problem. Gas lighter. They are no more reporting facts than a man in the moon.
