Kendall Jenner Declined Fashion's Night Out Gig Because She Had School

Kendall Jenner Can't Come To Fashion's Night Out Because She Has School

See, this is why you can't hire teenagers in fashion.

After news that her 14-year-old sister Kylie will be walking the runway for Abbey Dawn during New York Fashion Week, 15-year-old Kendall Jenner must back out of a commitment she made to work at Fashion's Night Out... because she couldn't get out of school.

The New York Post reports that Jenner, younger sister to Kim Kardashian, was offered $20,000 to host a Fashion's Night Out event in NYC. "She was interested but she had to back out because she couldn’t get out of school," a source said.

How quaint -- did something like school ever stop her tabloid-trailblazing older siblings, Kim, Khloe and Kourtney? We don't think so. But it just goes to show you that there are, indeed, some downsides to hiring young teens to work Fashion Week.

Already the CFDA recommended that this Fashion Week, which begins today, models should be carded before hitting the runway to ensure they are at least 16.

Kylie will prove exception to the rule, of course, by walking the runways for Avril Lavinge's collection. But thankfully there's at least one teen that fashion won't have to keep an eye on this Fashion Week.

Kendall, we implore you: stay in school.
