Kenia Monge's Parents Will Live Stream Her Funeral

Kenia Monge's Funeral Will Be Live Streamed

The family of slain 19-year-old Kenia Monge has decided to live stream her funeral today at 11 a.m.

Monge went missing from Denver club 24K on April 1, and wasn't seen for 5 months.

On September 8, Monge's body was formally identified after investigators were led to it by Travis Forbes, who will be charged with first-degree murder in court September 23. Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey says his office has not decided yet whether or not to seek the death penalty against Forbes, but if convicted he could face life in prison.

"I've prepared myself for this day," Tony Lee told reporters after having to positively identify Monge's body. "I had 5 months and 8 days to do so. It didn't work. There is no way you can prepare yourself for something like this."

On a Facebook page called "Help US FIND Kenia," Lee wrote of the decision to live stream the funeral:

There also will be a live stream of the entire service for those of you who cannot make it and for those of you in other places who cannot attend...

Thank you all once again for riding this journey with us, God Bless you all and hope to see some of you there.

Tony Lee and family..

The funeral is being held at Pastor of Glory to Glory Christian Center, 1620 S. Abilene St. Aurora, and Monge will be buried at the Hampden Garde Cemetery, 8600 E. Hampden Ave. Denver.
