Life After Johnny Football For Texas A&M Starts With ... 'KENNY FOOTBALL!!!' (VIDEO)

Life After Johnny Football Starts With A Bang

Life after Johnny Football got off to a great start for Texas A&M. New starting quarterback Kenny Hill helped Aggies fans get over the former Heisman Trophy winner with a stellar performance in his debut against South Carolina on Thursday night.

Not only did the sophomore lead Texas A&M to a 52-28 victory on the road, he broke Johnny Manziel's single-game passing record with 511 yards. He also completed 44 of 60 passes, connected with 12 different receivers and threw three touchdown passes. Manziel certainly seemed impressed with Hill's performance.

In two seasons at Texas A&M, Manziel became the first-ever freshman to win the Heisman Trophy and went on to score a total of 93 touchdowns (both passing and rushing). While it might be difficult for some to not miss him, Hill did his best to show a new era has begun in College Station, Texas.

It doesn't seem like that nickname is going to stick, if Hill gets his way.

"I don't really like 'Kenny Football,'" Hill said after the game, via the Associated Press. Texas A&M fans will have to think of something better.
