Kensington Palace has been a safe haven for some iconic royal ladies, including Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Margaret and Diana, Princess of Wales. That's why we were happy to see that Harper's Bazaar UK used the locale for its "Best of British" issue.
Just in time for the queen's coronation anniversary, the July 2013 glossy features Stella Tennant posing in Princess Diana's former home -- certainly one of the "best" shoot locations in Britain we can think of. Tennant is the picture of regality modeling Chanel and Erdem in the dreamy, Cathleen Naundorf-lensed shots. (Our personal favorite is the one of her posing alongside the Chelsea pensioners.)
Fortunately, Kensington Palace has had quite a bit of attention from the style world lately, as it is the spot where the "Fashion Rules" exhibition will be held this summer. Put on by the Historic Royal Palaces charity, it will showcase dresses from the aforementioned royal ladies' wardrobes.
We're just glad Harper's had enough time to get in there before they started steaming Diana's gowns for the exhibition. The full Kensington Palace spread and Stella Tennant interview appear in the July issue of Harper's Bazaar UK on sale now. It's also available as a digital edition.
