Keri Russell's Home Burglarized In Brooklyn

Talk about terrifying!

According to Page Six, Keri Russell awoke around 3 a.m. this morning (Dec. 4) to the frightening realization that she was not alone in her Brooklyn home. Upon finding her front door and living room window wide open, and seeing that several of her belongings were missing, the “Felicity” actress called the police. The thieves made it out of Russell's home with their stolen goods, but officers apprehended suspects Ronald Swindell, 50, and Stephan Swindell, 19, who had broken into another home in the area at about 5:20 a.m. The burglars reportedly entered Russell's home through an unlocked living room window. Russell stated that she woke to the sound of the Swindells' voices a floor above her, but it does not seem that she saw the thieves in person.

The Swindells allegedly made off with a Filson handbag, a laptop, and a few pieces of jewelry before hitting their next target on Remsen Street, after which they were apprehended. According to the New York Daily News, both men have been charged with burglary and criminal possession of stolen property. The elder Swindell has multiple prior arrests and was released from prison earlier this year.

It is unknown whether Russell’s husband Shane Deary or her two children were in the home at the time of the break in.
