Kevin Durant Half-Court Alley-Oop; Russell Westbrook Dunk Over Omer Asik Highlight Thunder Win (VIDEO)

Westbrook & Durant Put On Show With Half Court Alley-Oop

Just days after overwhelming the Miami Heat, the Oklahoma City Thunder took on the only team in the Eastern Conference with a better record than the South Beach Superfriends, the Chicago Bulls. In a nationally televised matchup between teams sitting atop their respective conferences, the Thunder delivered another emphatic win, 92-78.

Riding a five-game winning streak into a home game with the Derrick Rose-less Bulls, Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant put on a show in a blowout win that put the Thunder one game back of the NBA's best record. The show peaked in the third quarter -- in which OKC outscored Chicago 31-12 -- when the two All-Stars hooked up for an incredible alley-oop.

Midway through the quarter, Thabo Sefolosha picked up a defensive rebound under the basket and passed the ball to Westbrook on his left. Before Westbrook reached half court, Durant was sprinting by the Bulls' transition defense and calling for an alley-oop pass.

Ask and you shall receive.

Westbrook delivered a perfect pass from half court and Durant slammed it in with two hands, drawing an immediate standing ovation from the home crowd as Chicago called timeout.

Not to be outdone, Westbrook would add his own dunk to the highlight reel later in the third quarter when he soared over Bulls center Omer Asik. Westbrook's posterization of the 7-foot Turkish center delivered two of his game-high 27 points.

The Thunder duo has been as dominant as ever during the six-game winning streak, which includes victories over both Los Angeles teams and the East's top two in Miami and Chicago.

Now the Thunder look like they're on a mission race for the No. 1 overall seed in the NBA playoffs, and they're heading into the last month of the season with plenty of momentum.
