Kevin Federline Would Like To Do 'Comedy, Sitcoms'

K-Fed: Sitcom Star?

He was paid a reported $100,000 to appear on "Celebrity Fit Club," then paid again to appear on the Australian weight-loss show "Excess Baggage," filming now Down Under. So is it any surprise that Kevin Federline, former back-up dancer, rapper and ex-husband of Britney Spears, feels that a firm career in television lays ahead of him? In a chat conversation with fans on the website PerthNow Tuesday, that's just what Federline said he'd like -- but with a twist.

"Hopefully [I can] be really healthy and get back into some [scripted] TV work... acting work," Federline said. "I would love to do comedy, sitcoms."

The 33-year-old Federline clocked in at 232 pounds, or 105.4 kilograms, at the beginning of filming "Excess Baggage" and has been hospitalized twice since: first in December, for a heat stroke, and again in January, for severe chest pains brought on by one of the show's challenges.

Spears, who was married to Federline from 2004-2006, proved surprisingly funny when she made a guest appearance on "How I Met Your Mother" in 2008 as a kooky receptionist, though Federline would prefer that such comparisons not be made.

"We get along really well and do everything we have to do to make sure our kids [Sean and Jayden] are raised right... I've accepted that being to her will always be part of my life, but [I] would love for people to admire me for myself," he said.
