Kevin Garnett was ejected following a fight in which he elbowed Heat swingman Quentin Richardson with 40 seconds remaining in Game 1 of the Celtics-Heat series in Boston.

Garnett received two technical fouls and was ejected. Richardson, Celtics forward Glen Davis and Heat forward Udonis Haslem each received one technical. The Celtics prevailed, despite the opening Garnett's fouls gave the Heat. His status for Game 2 is uncertain.
