Funnyman Kevin Hart pled no contest to April DUI charges, luckily avoiding jail time, TMZ reports.

The "Let Me Explain" star was seen speeding over 90 mph on a Los Angeles highway last spring. He was pulled over and given a field sobriety test, which he failed.

The comedian struck up a reasonable deal: He pled no contest to one count of DUI and got the second count dropped. He will have to complete three years of probation and three months of alcohol education classes in return.

Hart is notoriously candid and admitted his mistakes soon after the April charges. He tweeted that month, "this is a wake up call for me, I have to be smarter & last night I wasn't....everything happens for a reason."

We hope he's right. This is one time we won't laugh at his pain.
