Kevin Hogan, High School English Teacher And Alleged Gay Porn Star, Defended By Students And Area Teens

Students Defend English Teacher Despite Gay Porn Past

The controversy involving the alleged gay porn past of a Massachusetts English teacher has sparked an outcry amongst students and other teens, with many taking to Twitter, Facebook and other forms of social media to defend their mentor.

"Porn star or not, #kevinhogan was one of the best teachers I've ever had," tweeted one student. "Shame on you, #fox25. Muckraking journalism at it's worst." Another user echoed those sentiments in an arguably more succinct way: "My English teacher is a gay pornstar #nbd"

Kevin Hogan, who allegedly starred in at least three X-rated gay films under the name "Hytch Cawke" before being hired at Mystic Valley Regional Charter School in August, has since been placed on administrative leave with the investigation pending. As The Boston Globe is reporting, Hogan also taught at St. Clement High School in nearby Medford, Mass. for two years in the 1990s.

When confronted with the accusations by Fox Undercover reporter Mike Beaudet, Hogan -- who also served as the school's crew coach -- only responded, “I don’t know what you’re talking about."

According to one student, a petition in support of Hogan is currently being circulated at the school. Two Facebook groups have been created, presumably by students, in Hogan's defense: "Support Kevin Hogan, FIRE Mike Beaudet," which has over 1,200 followers at present, and "We Want Mr. Hogan Back," which has just over 100.
