Kevin Smith Defends Gay Brother Donald On Piers Morgan (VIDEO)

Kevin Smith Warns Anti-Gay Politicians: 'Stay Out Of My Brother's Bedroom, Buddy'

Add Kevin Smith to the ranks of Hollywood elite who have spoken out in defense of their lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT) siblings.

During an appearance on Piers Morgan's CNN show (ironically, the same program which featured Kirk Cameron's now-infamous remarks on homosexuality), the "Clerks" director and "Dogma" star spoke candidly about his brother Donald, who he says has been married to his partner for 20 years which, he quips, "is like 60 years in the straight community."

"I know my brother, he's a great guy, goes to church, doesn't screw anybody over, and yet he's still got some religious yahoos and politicos over to the side going: 'Change your ways or you're going to hell,'" Smith, who is currently promoting his new book, "Tough Sh-t: Life Advice From a Fat, Lazy Slob Who Did Good," said.

Before taking a swipe at Rick Santorum's proposal to ban pornography if elected president, Smith added, "Stay out of my brother's bedroom, buddy...he's a good dude."
