Kevin Ware Off Crutches, Reportedly Taking Jump Shots (VIDEO)

WATCH: Good News for Kevin Ware

Kevin Ware's road to recovery hit a new milestone.

Not only does Ware not need crutches anymore, he was also seen shooting jump shots at the University of Louisville practice facility for the first time since suffering a gruesome leg fracture during a March 31 Elite Eight matchup verses Duke, per WDRB.com. Ware made it clear, however, that he wasn't putting a maximum effort into the jumpers.

"Like, midway. They don't want me doing a lot of jumping," he said when asked if he's getting any lift on the jump shots. "They don't want me putting a lot of weight, a lot of pressure on it yet because I'm still at about eight, nine weeks. So the more I can do, the more I'm rehabbing, it'll get a lot stronger.

Over the weekend, Ware updated his thousands of Twitter followers on his progress. He also set a goal for when he think he'll be fully recovered.
