Khloe Kardashian Talks Body Image, Says The Gym Helped Her Through Lamar Odom Split

Khloe Kardashian Says Working Out Helped Her Through Lamar Odom Split

The gym was a safe haven for Khloe Kardashian after her split from Lamar Odom.

"When me and Lamar were having issues, I decided to channel my energy into working out ... if I went out with my girlfriends I would be hounded by paparazzi and made to feel more humiliated," Kardashian told Cosmopolitan Body U.K. "The gym was my only refuge. I could put music on and dance around with my girlfriends and be silly."

The 30-year-old has undergone a body transformation in recent years. In February, she shared an Instagram photo of her toned physique and told fans she used fitness as "a form of therapy and as a stress reliever."

While she is not against cosmetic surgery, she sees more value in reaching goals herself.

"I'm not against plastic surgery –- if you want to do a tweak, I'm all for it, but you have to love yourself first because no surgery is going to change your heart," she told Cosmo Body. "It would have been such an easy solution to get liposuction or whatever, but you have to be healthy to maintain that. I've always felt like 'Wouldn't it be great to accomplish that on your own?'"
