Where the Kardashians go, scandal follows, but who would have thought that pies -- yes, PIES as in dessert -- would be the thing to take Khloe Kardashian down.
The youngest Kardashian sister boasted her baking prowess on Instagram last week, sharing a photo of an impressive spread of baked goods from the family's Thanksgiving feast. It turns out, in fact, that the pies didn't originate from "KoKo's Kitchen," as she likes to call it, but were actually made by local Los Angeles bakeshop, Sweet Lady Jane Bakery.
"I am sooooo proud of myself lol can I say that???" she captioned the photo. "I filmed on a tripod, in my kitchen a lot of me baking and prepping for today so I will have that up on my app soon!!! I love testing myself and seeing what I can accomplish and actually make successfully! Now let's pray it tastes as great as they look! This monkey bread is going to be so fucking bomb."
Jane Lockhart, the owner of Sweet Lady Jane, had a bone to pick with Khloe once she discovered the reality TV star was taking credit for her hard work.
"The nerve. When I saw the pies on her table I thought, ‘She has to be kidding me,’” she told The Daily News. “I want to say, ‘Good job. You want a job here?’"
“If she had given us credit, that would have been nice," Lockhart, who has owned the bakery for 27 years, added. "Nobody has ever stolen our identity like that before.”
Khloe lashed out at her critics in an expletive-laden tweet to address Piegate (yes, that's what we're calling it).
"Petty motherfuckers! I have real shit going on in my life. Try not to choke on my nuts. You're sucking them pretty hard," she tweeted on Wednesday morning.
Ironically, earlier that day, the 31-year-old used a Bible quote to shut down Internet haters (and possibly address the pie controversy).
"The greatest part about miserable peps is that they post all of this BS on your page. They attack with words behind their private pages," she tweeted.
