Kid Runs On Set And Appears To Fart At TV Weatherman On The Air

Today's forecast: High wind with a chance of shame.

They don’t teach you how to deal with this in meteorology class.

TV weatherman Patrick Ellis of Mississippi’s WLBT does his best to roll with a boy who invades the set and apparently blasts a fart at him, Thrillist reported. Before he is pulled off the stage during Saturday’s newscast, the kid gives his own forecast, saying “there are farts everywhere and toots.”

What does one wear for toots? Does London Fog make that kind of outerwear?

Anyway, props to Ellis for keeping his cool. He certainly discovered why the W.C. Fields-credited warning about working with kids and dogs (and farts?) holds true.

I had my own viral moment last night; all I’m going to say is watch out for the ‘toots’ across central Mississippi,” he wrote on Facebook.

The boy is the son of a lawyer who was scheduled to appear on an attorney call-in show at the station, Ellis explained, per Adweek .

The alleged gas seems to explode around the :33 mark above. Hear it?
