These Adorable Kids Describing Their Dreams Will Make You Want To Get More Sleep

Dreaming is one of the great mysteries of sleep, but a few 7 and 8 year olds sound like they have it figured out.

As part of its ongoing Sleep Project, which is encouraging people to find out how well they actually sleep, New York Public Radio station WNYC interviewed a group of first, second and third graders at the Little Red School House in Manhattan.

Along with some fascinating stories, the children reveal some pretty thoughtful definitions of what sleep is and why we need it.

"In the night, you can't really do anything, and a dream is a good way to fill up a big chunk of time," 8-year-old Jack suggests in the clip above.

In fact, our brains are doing quite a bit while we're sleeping and dreaming. Studies have shown that even just one extra hour of sleep can yield incredible results to improve your day-to-day life. Need some inspiration to hit the hay? Check out the cute kids in the clip above.
