'Under The Dome' Kids Think They Know How To Take Down The Dome

Did the kids figure out how to get out from "Under the Dome"? After Angie convinced Junior to rejoin the fold -- which may or may not have stopped a horrendous storm that was forming inside the dome -- the kids of Chester's Mill seem convinced that they knew how to bring down the dome. All they have to do is murder Big Jim. So no biggie!

At the end of the episode, Angie, Joe, Norrie and Junior put their hands on the bigger dome around Chester's Mill. While the little dome had created singular visions for different people, the larger dome created a shared vision for all four of them. In it, Big Jim started bleeding from sudden knife wounds. Then, when they looked down, the foursome were all holding bloody knives.

It was clearly an image that meant something, but did it really mean what Angie and Norrie assumed it meant? They immediately determined that this vision was the one they'd been waiting for. This is what could bring down the dome. "But first, Big Jim has to die," Angie said.

"And I think we’re supposed to do it," Norrie added. And, of course, this means Junior has to be involved with killing his own father -- not that he hasn't come close already this summer. Buddy TV's Ted Kindig thought the scene was a "cool touch of the abstract for a far too literal show.”

Over at TV Fanatic, though, Carla Day was left with a lot of questions. "Will Junior kill his own father? Would Angie, Joe, or Norrie kill Big Jim? If the Dome could create the storm to get Angie and Junior back working together, what will it do to force their hands? Big Jim needs to be punished for his wrongs, but I'm not sure the teens are the ones who should have to live with bloody hands.”

Of course, it still doesn't address the "monarch" situation, as well as the chrysalis inside the little dome. Plus, if the show is going to come back for another season or two, there's got to be more to it than just killing Big Jim. Are they going to spend two years with the kids chasing Big Jim around the dome with knives?

See how it plays out as "Under the Dome" continues on Mondays at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
