Kiefer Sutherland Talks '24' Movie On 'The Late Late Show'

Kiefer Sutherland is clearly as passionate about getting that "24" movie mad as fans of the show are to see it. It's just taking longer to come together than anyone had hoped. He stopped by "Late Show" (Weeknights, 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS) where he gave an update as to the status of the film project.

But not before David Letterman teased him about his previous appearance back in 2010. "You look great," Letterman said, asking if Sutherland had lost weight or otherwise changed his look. "Is there something different about you?"

"I'm wearing pants!" Sutherland finally answered, just as Letterman pulled out a photo of Sutherland in a dress from that prior appearance. Something that fun simply has to be revisited.

As for the movie, though, Sutherland said that it was difficult to come up with a script that could provide the necessary closure to the long-running series in two hours. But now that they've got that underway, he said it's a matter of juggling schedules. "That is what we're going to do now in about 8 months," he explained. "I was hoping to be able to do it in about six weeks."

Meanwhile, Kiefer Sutherland fans can watch him on "Touch," Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on Fox. "Late Show" is on weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS.
