Kim Kardashian took a break from dispelling rumors she's faking her pregnancy to talk about something a little more pressing: gun control.

On Wednesday, the 34-year-old reality star took to Twitter, where she asked her 34.4 million followers if they'd heard the story of David Conley, who allegedly murdered his ex-girlfriend Valerie Jackson, her common-law husband, Dwayne Jackson, and her six children. Conley is accused of shooting all eight victims in the back of the head, and reportedly purchased the gun used in the crime online.

Kardashian tweeted:

Kardashian has spoken openly about her gun-control beliefs before. In June, during a question-and-answer session in Oakland, she was asked for an idea that would change the world and replied, "Gun control."

"I'm not the type to have them in my house. They scare me so much," she said, adding, "If I could do something to change the world … I'm not really a gun person, and we do not have strict enough gun control laws."

The reality star previously tweeted support for gun-control laws following the tragic shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, that left 26 people dead, including 20 children.

Kardashian's repeated calls for gun control mark a growing trend for the star, who slowly seems to be become more socially conscious. Just last month, she also used her position as a celebrity and far-reaching social media platform to call attention to Sandra Bland's death. Additionally, she's become somewhat of a mental health advocate, having produced a documentary about mental health in the social media age, which aired on HLN this past May.
