It shouldn't be a surprise that Kim Kardashian was one of the most anticipated guests of the 2014 Met Gala.
Last year, Kardashian stepped out beside then-future husband Kanye West, covered in a floral print gown crafted by her designer BFF Riccardo Tisci. But, the dress didn't just stop there -- a major slit in the gown was only a mere detail, as Kim slipped her fingers into matching gloves ... which were attached the the garment. Needless to say, the fashion world and the Internet had a field day.
And of course we can't talk about the future Mrs. West (!!) without mentioning her Kanye, who got a top nod for best dressed by Vogue last year in his Givenchy suit.
So, for this year's red carpet we were kind of shocked to see her pare down her look with a simple Lanvin navy and black gown -- although the slit leaves little to the imagination, as there's been a couple flashes of what seems like a matching set of underwear. As for Kanye, he stays true to his past gala uniform, rocking a fierce jacket tail.
We're loving Kim's elegant look, especially alongside Kanye's dapper outfit.
