Kirk Cameron Speaks Out On Marriage In New NOM Marriage Anti-Defamation Alliance Video

Kirk Cameron Has More To Say On Upholding 'Traditional' Marriage

If you thought the outpouring of negative comments Kirk Cameron received when he appeared on Piers Morgan's show in March and stated that homosexuality is "unnatural... detrimental... and ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization" might have turned off the actor from speaking out further, you thought wrong.

As reported by Jeremy Hooper of GoodAsYou.org, Cameron is now featured in a new video from the Marriage Anti-Defamation Alliance, an off shoot of the National Organization for Marriage (NOM), which was created to ensure that "no American [is] afraid to exercise core civil rights: to speak, to donate, to organize, to sign petitions, or to vote for marriage as the union of husband and wife."

Described by a spokesperson for the organization as having been "persecuted by the mainstream media" and "one of America's most important champions of marriage," a scruffy Cameron spends the 4-minute clip explaining why he is so dedicated to defending "traditional" marriage.

The former "Growing Pains" star relays:

"If we want a great future in this world, we have to take God at his word and God makes it really clear that society and civilization is held together by the glue of families.. This is where the next generation of human beings are incubated and nurtured and matured -- in homes. In families. We want that to be a place of health and happiness… it needs to be a home filled with faith."

After offering that "God's advice trumps Oprah's every time," Cameron ends the clip by stating that "People getting married, people having children, people modeling God's design of marriage for people is the very best investment that we could make in the future of our country and the world as a whole."

Cameron isn't the only celeb to speak out against the LGBT community. See others in the slideshow below:
