The best player in a New York Knicks jersey Wednesday night might have been a guy who's not even on the team.
Knicks fan Shawn Kelly of West Orange, New Jersey sunk an impressive half-court shot at Madison Square Garden, winning him a cool $10,000.
According to Daily Dot staff writer Marisa Kabas, who was at the Garden at the time, the fan hit the lucky shot after missing a preceding lay-up, free throw and 3-pointer.
“That legitimately might be the loudest applause the Garden has seen this season,” mused Sports Illustrated.
The Knicks lost to the Detroit Pistons Wednesday, 90 to 102.
