T.R. Knight, 'Grey's' Alum, Returns To Television; Will Guest Star In 'Law & Order: SVU'

'Grey's Anatomy' Alum Returns To TV

Though T.R. Knight's character was killed off in ABC's hugely popular medical drama, 'Grey's Anatomy,' the actor's career is still very much alive.

Knight has just announced his return to television as a guest star in an episode of 'Law & Order: SVU.'

The actor left television in a bit of a huff, after three years of playing Dr. George O'Malley, artistic and personal struggle became too great and Knight wanted out.

He will be taking on a totally different persona than the lovable Dr. O'Malley, on 'SVU,' Knight will be playing a suspected serial rapist.

Of course, he is no stranger to heavy roles: he starred opposite the erudite Patrick Stewart in the Broadway revival of David Mamet's 'A Life in the Theatre.'

The new season of 'Law & Order: SVU' premieres September 21 on NBC.
