Kobe Bryant Immortalized At Grauman's Chinese Theater

A First: Grauman's Chinese Theater Immortalizes Athlete (PHOTOS)

Kobe Bryant was immortalized yesterday afternoon at Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood. He was joined by his wife Vanessa and daughters Natalia and Gianna, who watched as he signed his name and imprinted his hands and Nike-clad feet into the cement. Neon Tommy reports that despite the rain, hundreds of Lakers fans waited outside Grauman's Chinese Theater to see their favorite player. Comedian Jimmy Kimmel hosted the ceremony, which included speeches by George Lopez and Lakers executive Jeanie Buss.

KTLA notes that "Bryant is the first athlete and the second person outside of the movie industry to be honored at the theater. The other is Rosa Grauman, the mother of the theater's founder, Sid Grauman."
