If the Los Angeles Lakers had a postseason game today then Kobe Bryant would be in the lineup, probably. Nevermind that Bryant, who tore his Achilles tendon in April, only recently got the "green light" to start what he called "rigorous conditioning."

“If today was a playoff or NBA Finals [game], could I play? Probably," the five-time NBA champion told Kevin Ding of Bleacher Report on Monday in Beijing. The Lakers are in China for two preseason games.

Just last week, Bryant said he wasn't ready to set a return date and joked that he needed "to get my fat ass in shape."

We'll see how confident he is once he joins a full team practice, something he didn't do on Monday according to Bleacher Report.
