Kobe Bryant Song: 'The Kobe That We Used To Know' Parodies The Gotye Hit Single (VIDEO)

WATCH: Kobe Parody Song Wonders What Happened

After the Los Angeles Lakers were ousted from the 2012 NBA playoffs by the Oklahoma City Thunder, Kobe Bryant defiantly told reporters that he wasn't going anywhere.

“I’m not fading into the shadows, if that’s what you’re asking," Bryant said. "I’m not going anywhere.”

But one fan thinks that Kobe is already gone. Or, at least, the Kobe that we used to know is no longer playing for the purple and gold.

With some inspiration from the billboard-smashing single by the Belgian-Australian artist Gotye, Somebody That I Used To Know, a fan by the copy-cat alias of "Kobye" sings about the struggles of the current Lakers and laments the loss the dominant Bryant of yesteryear.

But you didn't have to take that shot / Just drive the lane and dump it off to either Pau or Bynum / Those two guys are really tall / And when you keep it for yourself we never score enough / You didn't have to hog the ball / You're triple teamed so kick it out to either Blake or Sessions / I know that they don't shoot so well / But you're really not the Kobe that we used to know.

The tune may resonate with some fans who might have expressed the same sentiments throughout the season. Agree or disagree, the video is becoming a viral success with nearly 130,000 views on YouTube in just two days. One thing that has yet to be answered from all of this is if Andrew Bynum has uploaded it to his iPod yet.
