Report: Koch Brother Walks Through D.C. Protest Crowd Unnoticed (PHOTOS)

WASHINGTON -- According to the American Spectator, something funny happened during the Defending the American Dream Summit's "Tribute to Ronald Reagan" chicken dinner Friday night at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

Billionaire David Koch, the liberal nemesis, was in attendance. In 1980, Koch ran against Reagan -- he was the vice presidential nominee on the Libertarian presidential ticket. But the funny thing is not that David Koch should be at a chicken dinner paying tribute to Ronald Reagan at all -- politics change, even if banquet dinner menus do not.

David Koch, the Spectator reports, walked out of the dinner and passed unrecognized right through the Occupy DC demonstration targeting him and his brother Charles. "It was only after Koch was gone that my friend told the Occupiers that they'd just missed the villain whose presence at the Convention Center had inspired all the chaos," Robert Stacy McCain wrote in the Spectator.

(The pair have two other brothers -- William, a chemical engineer, and Frederick, an art and European castle collector -- who are not ordinarily lumped in with Charles and David, protest-wise.)

It's perhaps not surprising if people don't generally know what the Koch brothers look like, given that they are usually described as "reclusive." And so here is a field guide for future banquet-cum-protests -- a slideshow of David and Charles Koch (and some other notabale Kochs):
