It was a major shock to most of the world when Kim Kardashian announced that she was filing for divorce from Kris Humphries after just 72 days of marriage, but anyone on set while the pair was filming "Kourtney & Kim Take New York" had to have seen it coming.
The premiere episode of the new season of the show went all in on conflict, with plenty of immediate marital discord to display. There was the matter of tidiness (Kim likes a neat house, while Kris, not so much), living with Kourtney and Scott Disick (naked yoga, it turns out, isn't one of Humphries' favorite past times), and the whole actually being celebrities thing (Kris had no desire to revel in cake cutting, an ancient and sacred public responsibility of those that matter).
Looking back on it, these things probably could have been avoided (along with the entire marriage) if the pair had lived together before moving to New York City and spending their entire first month as newlyweds in front of cameras.
Spoiler alert: While it seems that, when Kris moves out of the apartment for good, Kim is supportive, future episodes will prove that she may not actually have been all that thrilled with the move.
