Kris Humphries Interview Gets Awkward

There have been many uncomfortable chapters in the televised romance, marriage and subsequent divorce between Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian, but the NBA forward's interview with "Good Morning America," (weekdays, syndicated on ABC) may be remembered as one of the most cringe-worthy. In a sit-down interview with Josh Elliot, Humphries seemed visibly uncomfortable answering questions about the experience of watching his relationship disintegrate on national TV, and tried to parry nearly every question back to his charitable foundation and NBA free agency.

Asked whether the omnipresent reality TV cameras were partly to blame for his marriage falling apart, Humphries acknowledged the constant tabloid scrutiny took a toll. "I can't say for sure or not for sure, it was the only time I've been married ... I've been in the NBA since I was 19 years old, and it's a different level, but for me it's all about moving forward and being excited about the opportunity to give back through my foundation," he said.

And while millions of Americans have been watching Humphries' marriage fall apart on "Kourtney and Kim Take New York," Humphries seemed to imply he hasn't been watching the show. "I've never been one to watch the show on TV or anything like that," he explained.

TMZ is now reporting that Humphries felt ambushed in the interview, and was expecting to only talk about his charity. However, an ABC rep told TMZ that there were no ground rules set for the interview.
