Kris Jenner Says Kim Kardashian Shouldn't Have To Give Her Engagement Ring Back

Kris Jenner: Kim Should Get To Keep Her Ring

Divorce is messy even in the best of cases, but when you add cameras, producers, a $2 million engagement ring and the Kardashians in to the mix, it's a full fledged three-ring circus.

Mom and Kardashian family manager Kris Jenner appeared on "Fox and Friends" this morning to promote her new memoir "Kris Jenner ... And All Things Kardashian," and she told the show she doesn't think Kim should have to give back her 20.5 carat engagement ring.

"This is the first time I'm hearing that," she told the hosts when asked about the rumors. "That's between them -- a gift is a gift. If you look at the etiquette books, it says keep a present. But I don't think Kim is as concerned about that as else. I don't think it's about the gifts or the money, it's about what she's feeling. It's about two people and how their lives are changing."

The new author who couldn't have picked a better time to launch a publicity tour for her book, told the show the family isn't thinking about "frivolous" things like that. "It's a big deal and a very expensive item but it's not something Kim is thinking about."

The fact that the marriage only lasted 72 days seems suspect to most, but Jenner vehemently denies that they made any money off the wedding, saying that reported figures are "completely inaccurate, false and ridiculous."

"The thought that it's a sham, and the media keeps perpetuating this," she pleaded. "Stop. It's not a sham. It's somebody in a lot of pain."

As for the wedding gifts, the Dream Foundation, which grants wishes to adults facing life-threatening illnesses, confirmed that Kim will make a donation to the organization that will be representative of the presents she received from her short-lived marriage.
