Kristen Stewart Lands Chanel Modeling Gig For Texas-Themed Collection

And The New Face Of Chanel Is...

Kristen Stewart has stepped back into the fashion spotlight, landing a major campaign with Chanel.

The actress was tapped by Karl Lagerfeld to front the 2013 Pre-Fall ads for his Texas-themed métiers d'art collection, Women's Wear Daily reports. Naturally, Stewart was already channeling the rodeo vibe when she sat front row at the collection's runway show in Dallas yesterday, donning leather Chanel trousers with a shirt tied around her waist.

This gig marks Stewart's return to modeling, after working with designer pal Nicolas Ghesquiere for Balenciaga's Florabotanica fragrance ads. Her relationship with Lagerfeld is less personal, as the two only met during a photo shoot in 2012 when Stewart was styled in Chanel Couture. But it seems her laid-back, tomboy vibe was just what the Kaiser was looking for with his latest collection -- even if Stewart herself isn't always so sure how she fits into the glamorous industry.

"I'm a huge fan of the fashion world now that I've been allowed to be a part of it, even if oftentimes I don't even know what I'm wearing,” Stewart told Marie Claire Australia last year.

Despite her self doubt, the "Twilight" star joins the ranks of some top-notch fashion figures who've posed for Chanel, including Diane Kruger, Blake Lively and Tilda Swinton, who modeled last year's Scottish-themed pre-fall collection.

Stewart's Lagerfeld-lensed Chanel ads will debut in May. Do you think she'll do the Lone Star State justice?
