As a working mom in Hollywood, Kym Whitley does her fair share of juggling her day job as a comedienne with her home life raising her toddler, Joshua. In the above clip from "Raising Whitley," Kym gets ready to film a scene from "A Haunted House 2" with funny man Marlon Wayans.
"I worked with Marlon Wayans on the show 'They Wayans Brothers,' and we hit it off," Kym says. "One thing about Marlon, when he casts a movie or a TV show, he expects you to bring it. You've got to be ready to improv, because Marlon will say anything and you've got to be ready to come back."
While Kym's rehearsing her lines outside her trailer, Marlon comes over to joke around with her. Between laughs, he gives her some words of encouragement.
"Marlon says to me, 'You got this,' Kym says. "He was like, 'That's why we hired you, Kym. Now go, do it.' When somebody says that, you can't do anything but take wings and fly."
