"Dramatic simplicity" is how 85-year-old Lady Francesca Todd describes her style. And indeed, the contradiction fits Todd to a t.
Clad in a floor-length leopard print dress and over-sized tribal necklace, Todd invited Ari Seth Cohen of Advanced Style into her NYC apartment where she posed with a taxidermy lion (the lion which attacked her while she was living in Kenya) and revealed the advice from her mother which she still follows to this day.
Todd's appreciation for fashion began with her design education and a job with Elsa Schiaparelli (Italian designer and Coco Chanel's rival) where she learned how to drape fabric. When asked by Cohen if she thinks one can be too old to dress up, Todd replied with a stern "no" and added, "I think the older you get the more you should do it!"
We appreciate that even in Todd's old age, she is constantly searching for a new adventure. Take a look at her wild approach to dressing in the slideshow below, and make sure to head over to Advanced Style to learn more.
