Lady Gaga Is The Bloodthirsty Countess For EW's 'American Horror Story' Cover

"I have returned to something I’ve believed in so much, which is the art of darkness."

Hello, Countess.

Lady Gaga transforms into her "American Horror Story: Hotel" character, The Countess, for the latest cover of Entertainment Weekly. In the shot, the platinum star appears in a white ensemble with a bloody neck and black, taloned hand.

Gaga will make her "AHS" debut in Season 5 as The Countess and owner of Hotel Cortez. She is a glamorous socialite with a hunger for love and sex, who maintains her looks by drinking human blood.

“I’ve just been weeping while I’m here because I have returned to something I’ve believed in so much, which is the art of darkness,” she told EW. “It’s not something that everyone understands, but, for the people that do -- 'Horror Story' fans, my fans -- there is a true connection between us, and it’s a language within itself.”

The first photos of Gaga on set surfaced last week while the cast was filming outside of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
